Port Vila has an ever increasing population and with that comes a greater need for family planning and STI testing.

Kam Purem Hed Clinic

The clinic started in 1999 and its services are still highly valued by clients. KPH provides a confidential, high quality service, open to all.

The Peer Educators give advice to community members on topics that are seen as ‘tabu’ and that people generally do not feel comfortable seeking advice from family and friends about. The peer education program bridges that gap and provides unbiased and confidential information to community members on a range of topic such as; sexual health, sexuality and relationships.

“I am really glad this service is here as it is free, and it helps young people, thank you for this service” Client, KPH clinic

V-Pride

VPride was founded in 2007 with a small group of men that identified themselves as gay. They used to meet at the seafront in the evenings to discuss sexual health and get information about HIV/ AIDS and discuss the issues they faced. At that time gay men were frightened to come out and the group was too weak to continue. In 2009 new members were identified and were invited to join the group. The group began going through workshops about sexual health, reproductive health, HIV/ AIDS and Human Rights and started to work out of Wan Smolbag where they felt safe. Now V-Pride is based next to KPH and has fashion parades at the youth centre and song and dance nights with packed and appreciative audiences!
